about

ENFOLD was a German hardcore band that existed between 1995-2001. They released a couple 7"s ("..routine" and split 7"s with June Tragic Drive and Linsay) and broke up straight after releasing this full-length in 2000. ENFOLD from Bielefeld were arguably one of the best German live bands around that time, and this master-piece with 14 recorded songs finally does them justice. They were influenced by San Diegan hardcore bands Swing Kids, Struggle and Drive Like Jehu, and also various indie-rock bands. Their music is chaotic, angry and upset about something. And it ain't just chaotic, angry and upset - it's also very technically good. A broad sound, with highly creative guitar riffs, accompanied by fitting bass riffs and angry drumming makes the wall of sound that the singer shouts passionately over. The lyrics are bound to raise some hairs on your body. Intense, angry and beautiful in one - these guys were in it with their hearts. A nice coverversion round off "no coming home". Members went on in The Now-Denial and a couple to neglect indie-rock bands. This one is highly recommended and rang the bell of next generation bands.
