a life’s a life, but is it still, when it’s reduced to a boy, living in hell? writhing in pain, chained to a bed, “it’s a sin to kill” is what you said, but your morality does not eat cancer. more dead than alive, nothing to do but suffer. quality or quantity, who’s to decide? if someone wants to die, why should they be denied? your morality doesn’t erase misery… it only ensures. when it all comes down, if the choice isn’t yours, your life’s not your own.

get me out of here, this isn’t real. remember what you said? "a means to an end"? killing time, waiting, waiting to breathe, killing time until something changes. a life devoid of function, you all move on around me. a moment of confusion stretched as far as you can see. a life devoid of function… stuck in a mess that was never meant to be. i’m counting down, i’m keeping time, when do i get to look back and laugh?

one of these days you swear you’re going to leave, “just walk out that door”. you say that this time every year, but they’re still pulling all you strings, and they know exactly when to make you feel appreciated. a well-timed pat on the head, makes you think maybe it’s not so bad. but your “one of these days” never comes, and your life takes a back seat to keeping their machine in smooth running order. a voluntary, socialized gesture of self denial… for the greater good. good work. keep it up. your life means nothing… to them.
